On Tuesday, July 7th, we loaded up the car, picked up Gramma Swensrud and headed to Seaside, Oregon for our annual vacation.
Caleb was ready for his morning nap as soon as we got in the car and slept for the first half of the trip.

Matt drove most of the way there.

We even brought Bear with us.

Emma has been counting down the days until we go on vacation!

Emma took this picture.

We stopped at
McDonald's for lunch and the kids got to play on the big toy. Emma had a blast climbing through all the tunnels and going down the slide (
unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of her). Caleb found this one little
opening that didn't go anywhere. He had fun climbing the stairs, walking around, and then climbing back down.

We stayed at the Sea & Sand
Condominiums which was right next to the beach. Emma and Caleb enjoyed playing on the large patio right outside our room.

Emma playing with her new Richard
Scarry book from Auntie Carmen. The book unfolds and makes a 7-foot town. Emma and Caleb are both enjoying this book. Thanks Auntie Carmen!!

We finished off our first day by going in the pool.

Gramma and Caleb is swimming with Daddy.

Emma enjoyed playing with the toys in the pool, include these dolphin cutouts.

Caleb grabbing for a ball. "Ball" is one of Caleb's favorite words.

Emma and Caleb are both little water babies! =)
