Winter weather finally hit on January 15th! We were very excited to bundle up and play in the snow...and then of course finish off with nice warm cups of hot chocolate. :)
After throwing snow at each other, we had to build a snowman! Unfortunately, the snowman took up most of our snow that first day. We even had cousin Mackenzie over to help us enjoy the snow!
Then the heavy snow fall came. The snow just kept falling. It caused all of our schools to close for the entire week! As you can see, everything was blanketed in white. It was so beautiful!
The snow started on Sunday and by Thursday it had changed to freezing rain. Everything was coated in ice. It was very beautiful, but also very cold. On Thursday our power went out and stayed out until Saturday evening. Due to the freezing temps and no heat, we had to vacate our house and move in to Gramma's house for a few days. The kids loved spending so much time with Gramma and Auntie Carmen! We enjoyed it too. =)
