I have not been very good at keeping up with our family blog this year...sorry. So, here are several pictures from this year to show you what our family has been up to in 2010. My goal is to be better about posting to this blog in 2011. :)
Emma turned 4 at the end of January. This year she chose to have a Strawberry Shortcake birthday party. She had lots of fun celebrating with family and friends!
Our beautiful girl in her new birthday dress.
Emma and Caleb get along really well. Sure they have their brother/sister moments, but all in all they are great together! Emma loves her Bubba and Caleb loves his Sissy!
The day before Emma's birthday, Caleb learned the meaning of "Hot". He gave our gas fireplace a fist bump and burned his left hand. We had to keep it wrapped for several days (no, that is not a cast on his hand, it's blue co-band tape). Caleb did an excellent job at leaving the bandages alone...really good for an almost 2 year old. Emma enjoyed choosing the color of Caleb's hand each time we changed the bandage. She had a choice of blue, red, or green. :) Thankfully his hand just fine and he doesn't even have a scar! The picture below is what his burn looked like after a few days.
Cousins ~ Brady (2 1/2), Caleb (1 1/2), and Emma (4)
Matt was teaching Emma how to wash the car. This was on one of our unusually warm February days. She loves helping Mommy and Daddy!
Caleb refused to take a nap on this particular day, but sleep eventually won out and he fell asleep in the middle of his toys.
Our sweet Princess in her party dress ready to go to a friend's birthday party!
Emma and Ava at Ava's Fancy Nancy birthday party. These two girls have been friends since birth.
In March we spent a weekend in Seattle with Stacy's parents. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed a day at the Seattle Aquarium!

Caleb turned 2 in March. We had a small birthday party with family and a few close friends. He enjoyed all the cars he got for his birthday!
Caleb got a new hair cut this spring. Now he looks even more like Daddy. :)
Grammy and Papa came over to color Easter eggs with Emma and Caleb. They had fun writing/coloring on them with white crayon and then watching the words/pictures magically appear when they colored them. :)

Emma's preschool class went to the Windmill nursery in Sumner for their preschool pictures.

We went to the Puyallup Spring Fair with Stacy's parents and our niece, Mackenzie. The kids really did have fun even though they're not smiling in this picture. :)

In May we went to the Children's Museum in Olympia with Matt's mom and sister. The kids had a blast playing and exploring!

Emma did ballet through Michelle's Studio of Dance from February to June. In June she performed "Ants in your pants" with her class at the recital.

In July we went to the zoo with a couple of friends.

We went to the Paradise on Mount Rainier with Matt's mom in July. Emma told us that she likes the mountain better in the summer than the winter. :) It was beautiful day and we enjoyed walking along the trails.

Emma took this picture of us. She's quite the little photographer! :)

We also went to Ocean Shores this summer with Matt's mom and sister. The only bummer was that we went on a cold, wet day. We were already wet from the mist by the time we got to the water. Despite the weather, we had fun playing in the sand and the water. :)
After changing into dry clothes we went to lunch and then headed to Westport for the afternoon.
We celebrated Matt's birthday in August at Wild Waves and Enchanted Village with Matt's mom and sister. Emma and Caleb loved going on the rides. Emma even told us that she doesn't like the kiddie rides anymore, she wanted to go on the big kid/adult rides. :)
Even though we didn't go on a vacation this summer, we had a lot of fun on our day trips!
This from one of our local city parks. Emma and Caleb love to play outside. :)
We had all of Matt's family over to house to celebrate his dad's 60th birthday in September.
Emma strted pre-k (her second year of preschool) in September. She loves going to preschool! This year shes three days a week in the morning.

Emma did gymnastics through our local parks and rec department this fall. She had a great time and loves to tumble!
We welcomed a new nephew, Blake, into our family in September. This is Ryan and Amy's little boy.
Each fall our church honors First Responders. After church the kids were given fire hats and stickers. They also got to sit in the fire trucks.

Cousins ~ Brady (3), Emma (4), Caleb (2)
Our local fire department has an open house each fall for the community. The kids had a blast. Emma even did the Jr. Fireman's Challenge where she had to ride a trike to a "burning" house, climb a ladder to rescue a baby (doll), and then "put out a fire" with a real fire hose! This is an event we're planning to go to again next year. :)
Our kids loves frogs! We found this costume amongst several items that were given to us as hand-me-downs. Caleb loved this froggy costume and wanted to wear it often. :)
Caleb, Emma, and Brady at the pumpkin patch.
Our annual tractor pictures at the pumpkin patch. :)

In October Emma's preschool hosted "Doughnuts with Dad Night". We don't have any pictures from the actual event but here are a couple of Matt and the kids before they left.

Emma went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch with her preschool class.
We had a lot of fun cleaning the seeds out of the pumpkins. Then Emma and Grammy painted faces on the pumpkins.
The fairy princess and the frog ~ Emma and Caleb were ready to go to the harvest party at one of our local high school. The kids had a blast at the harvest party! There were games, candy, pony rides, big blow up toys, and lots more.
In November Stacy and Emma went to Disney On Ice with Stacy's parents. We had a lot of fun and Emma loved seeing her favorite princess, Ariel, as well as all the other Disney characters! :)
Emma with Grammy and Papa at Disney on Ice.
The week before Thanksgiving we had our first snow fall of the season. We built a snowman wich used up most of the snow in the yard. Emma and Caleb were so excited to play in the snow!

Then our snow fall turned into a snow storm. School was cancelled for the two days before Thanksgiving break and we got over 6 inches of snow at our house. We all had a lot of fun playing in it!
We even had fun playing in the snow at Papa and Grammy's house (Stacy's parents). Yes, that is a Sonics basketball hat that Caleb is wear. :)
Caleb and Emma making snow angels.

Stacy took a trip to Oregon with Matt's mom and sisters the weekend after Thanksgiving. We had a great time shopping and spending so girl time together. :)
We tried to get a picture of all the cousins (and Ryan). This was the best we could do at the moment. :) Here they are left to right ~ Brady (3 1/2), Mackenzie (11 1/2), Caleb (2 1/2), Emma (4 1/2), and Blake (2 1/2 months).
Matt and Stacy at the Married Life Christmas dinner.
We went to a local tree farm the first weekend in December to pick out our Christmas tree. After stomping through the mud and jumping over puddles we found our perfect tree.
Caleb watching Matt cut down the tree. He's learning what his job will be in a few years. :)
